Why is AICTE approval compulsory for PGDM institute?
If you are studying in a non-affiliated college or a deemed university that is approved by UGC, your PGDM program or course need not be necessarily AICTE approved. It would not create an issue for you. The reason is that an institute that is approved by UGC does not need AICTE approval. A UGC recognized university could begin any management course without preceding approval of AICTE by its main campus only by keeping minimum standards of study as laid down by the AICTE.
That’s why an institute should be necessarily approved by AICTE, in case you are not part of the campus of the PGDM university. You may be rejected a private job as well, even if you have secured really good score and grades and had a supersonic performance completely.
Your degree would not be considered valid in the job criteria by the hiring team of any organization. Many reputed companies opt for candidates from affiliated institutes. Hence, a number of students seeking an AICTE approved PGDM college to get a management study.
Why AICTE approval needed for PGDM candidates?
Candidates always want to get their management degree from an AICTE approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) college or university. All the students want to be placed in a well-known organization. Most importantly, many students strive to go abroad for work or further education. Your degree is considered to be valid only if your institute is under AICTE approval. If not, you are not qualified for an overseas education or job.
